About the team

We're a diverse group of creative people that love to learn, collaborate, and solve large-scale problems. We're looking for an inquisitive, curious, and talented Product Design Intern to join our team. Your work will impact and influence the user experience of a product used by millions of people daily. As a Product Design Intern on the Product Experience Team, you will work closely with other designers, engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders. If you're a systems-thinking Product Designer who's excited to work on significant, meaningful, and complex problems with real-world impact, come help us make the Internet better! What you'll do

Demonstrate talent and passion for designing end-to-end experiences
Work with a small group to complete a challenging, real-world project
Distill complex problems into approachable steps through customer discovery, sketching, prototyping, and sharing ideas with your cross-functional team
Receive coaching and mentorship from a Product Experience Designer
Partner with product managers and engineering leaders to work through technical tradeoffs that affect product roadmaps
Partner with other designers to collaborate on shared patterns, product vision, and design goals

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Currently enrolled in an accredited school program (undergraduate or graduate) or enrolled full time in an equivalent training program, pursuing a degree or certificate in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related technical field
Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our Lisbon office 3-5 days a week during the summer (May-Aug)
Product design experience, especially designing technical tools for business
Ability to quickly grasp technical domains, such as internet security, network services, and translate them into clear, intuitive user experiences
Understanding of Design System, Accessibility concerns for SaaS products
Experience or strong interest in designing experiences that simplify and communicate complex information
Ability to advocate for customer centered design and be the voice of customers
Effective written and verbal communication skills
